Sasha getting injured let the team down because tonight, like last night, Sasha played super well. Just when Stud said that the "Machine" has back, he got injured. No good news from him yet. Tomorrow he will get a complete check. The Lakers is shorthanded; Farmar, Sasha, Bynum, Bryant, Odom have injuries.
With the absence of Kobe Bryant, Shannon Brown stood up for two consecutive nights. Pau Gasol began a good night, but in the third quarter, his production declined. Lamar Odom, on the other hand, picked up his offense in the fourth quarter.
Even though the Lakers bench played a better-than-normal game, the Lakers lost because of the lack of defense and the injuries.
Lakers again this year ended the first seed in the Western Conference. The first round opponent for the Lakers is the Thunders. The schedule of the first four games will be:
Sun: at Staples Center, noon, ABC
Tues: at Staples Center, 7:30pm, FS West
Thur: at OKC, 6:30pm, KCAL 9
Sat: at OKC, 6:30pm, KCAL 9
All times is pacific time. Kobe will be returning to the playoff, and hopefully Bynum will return too. With the rest from today till Sunday, we hope that the injuries would have a better news.
